Sis, thank you so much for posting this. I have been struggling for years...like for real. I thank God for your transparency. Especially coming from a girl. Wow. The guilt is ridiculous but I've been convincing myself that it's ok and that it's normal. Yet at the same time have been afraid to seek help because I knew it was displeasing God. Thank you so much for this testimony and encouragement.

Thanks for this posting sis. I really needed that posting about masturbation. This has been something that I have really been struggling with for years. I have never ever done it until it was introduced to me through a relationship that I was in almost 3 years ago. And ever since I have been hooked. I had the same mentality that you had as the act of "pleasing yourself" and that was cool for me. But its good to know that I am not alone. Thank you once again and pray for a brother. God bless.

"I’m learning that transparency is one of the keys to godly freedom. The world is known for keeping faults, sins and short comings to itself."

I couldn't agree more. As Catholic Christians (which I am), we have the sacrament of Reconciliation (one of the things most parodied by non-Catholics). But I think the reason people make fun of us, is for this very reason of "It is just between me and God." I will be the first to tell you that Confession is not the most fun things to do, and that I'd much rather keep my faults, short comings, and sinful ways to myself. But the graces and mercy that Christ offers in the sacrament are beyond words. People often mock that which they do not understand. And so I pray, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."

"Get into the Word of God, prayer, fellowship and counseling."

Great advise to any and all Christian believers. God Bless.
